Canadians Don't Fool around with cakes

Tuesday 14 december 2010 akin to pecan pie, butter Tarts are basically butter, sugar and eggs in shell of a cake, and depending on who you talk to, nuts, raisins and chocolate chips. As a butter cake purist myself, I scoff at gratuite ingredients. Like many Canadians, I take my butter tarts seriously.

If one of the few clear Canadian foods-one that is a staple of pioneer Canadian cooking was, and is indeed delicious-visitors to Canada need to give them a try or stay at home and make a party itself. Especially during the holidays are great for cookie butter tarts or exchanges as a festive dessert served with vanilla ice cream.

MMMM ... I'm sure I've tasted that exact recipe …. and it's a very classic ending to a meal with a little homemade vanilla ice cream.

Excellent recipe!
